Mohegan Sun Names Director of Hotel Sales

DECEMBER 3, 2007. Gina Kando Rodigou has recently been named Director of Hotel Sales for Mohegan Sun. Having joined the pre-opening sales team at its inception in 1999, Rodigou comes to the position after serving as National Sales Manager as well as Hotel Sales & Marketing Manager for Mohegan Sun.

Rodigou has 20 years experience in the hospitality industry and has worked in convention and hotel sales across the country including the New Orleans Metropolitan Convention & Visitors Bureau, Inter-Continental Los Angeles, The Ritz-Carlton, Cleveland, Hyatt Hotels of Columbus and Hyatt Regency Princeton.

Rodigou is a Certified Meeting Professional and received a Bachelor of Arts degree from Providence College.

Currently in the midst of Project Horizon - a multi-million dollar expansion that calls for a new 1,000-room hotel, featuring 300 House of Blues-themed rooms and an exclusive members-only House of Blues Foundation RoomTM. The expansion also includes 115,000 square feet of additional retail and restaurant space, and a new 64,000 square-foot Casino of the Wind. In addition, Project Horizon expanded Mohegan Sun's Asian gaming experience in Casino of the Earth with Sunrise Square, which opened in August 2007. Upon full completion in 2010, Project Horizon is expected to add more than 1.4 million square feet to Mo hegan Sun's existing structure.
