Boyne Announces DOD at the Maine Resorts
NOVEMBER 26, 2007. Boyne Resorts is pleased to announce the hiring of Mark Hall to the newly established position of Director of Development for the Maine Resorts. Hall will oversee all aspects of master planning, development and real estate operations at Sunday River and Sugarloaf. Both Resorts were recently added to the Boyne Resorts family.
"This is one of the first steps in a very collaborative process," said Stephen Kircher, President of Boyne's Eastern Operations. "Mark's knowledge of resort development and architecture will be an asset as we map each Resort's future plans."
Hall will work closely with the recently contracted Envisioning + Storytelling (E+S) firm that will be authoring a "strategic story" of the future at Sunday River. The two-day session, which is the highlight of the envisioning process occurred at Sunday River Nov. 6-8. Hall will oversee similar on-mountain and base area planning and development projects at Sugarloaf.
Hall brings over 30 years of New England based architectural planning and real estate operations experience to his new role, most recently serving as Director and Vice President of Development for Intrawest where he oversaw master planning, permitting, infrastructure, design, construction, marketing/sales, and community/homeowner relationships at both Stratton and Mountain Creek.
Hall spent his early career as an architect in the Boston area and educator at Harvard University and the Boston Architectural Center. He has been active in local government, enjoys skiing, golf and boatbuilding. Hall is married with two children.
"There is so much potential at The Maine Resorts," said Hall. "The hiring of E+S to get all parties on board with a single vision is a great step. I look forward to working with the talented teams at each resort to facilitate the next phases of growth."
