Strategic Hotel Capital, Inc. Provides Update on Impact of Hurricane Katrina
NEW ORLEANS, August 30, 2005. Strategic Hotel Capital, Inc. provided an update today on the status of its two properties affected by Hurricane Katrina.
The Hyatt Regency New Orleans has sustained some damage, the extent of which is being assessed by management in conjunction with Hyatt. The company is working with its insurers and will be examining the implementation of the planned renovation program.
The InterContinental Miami was not impacted by the hurricane and remains open, having hosted a substantial portion of the recent MTV awards event.
