John G.C. Wood Named GM Mövenpick Resort on Mauritius
OCTOBER 16, 2007. M"ovenpick Hotels & Resorts has appointed John G.C. Wood as its new General Manager for its spectacular resort on the south west coast of Mauritius effective 11 October 2007.
John G.C. Wood, who is dual citizen of Great Britain and Cyprus, is a seasoned hotelier with over 30 years of hotel management experience in Europe, the Middle East, the Caribbean and India. Wood, a graduate of the hotel management school in Lausanne (EHL), brings with him a wealth of expertise in successfully running spa and golf resorts. He joins the premium Swiss hospitality company from Le M'eridien, where he most recently opened a resort in Split, Croatia and replaces Patrick Joulain at the end of his contract.
