Tourism Cares Live Auction at NTA Convention
Features a Motorcoach
LEXINGTON, KY, September 13, 2007. Tourism Cares, the official philanthropy for the National Tour Association, will auction a motorcoach donated by Stallion Bus Industries at the 2007 NTA Annual Convention in Kansas City, Missouri. The SLC 936 Sunliner Coach will be the featured item in the live auction during the Convention Nov. 2-6.
The deluxe 36-passenger coach includes many extra features and will be on display on the Convention floor throughout the Convention. It will be auctioned Monday, Nov. 5, during the live auction by veteran auctioneer Shane Ratliff. Ratliff was named the 2007 Auctioneer of the Year by the National Auto Auction Association and holds the titles of The World Champion and NAAA International Champion Auctioneer.
"It's very exciting to once again auction a motorcoach at the NTA Convention and have this beautiful Stallion Bus Industry deluxe coach as a centerpiece of our auction display," Tourism Cares Executive Director Bruce Beckham, CTP. "The coach will draw attention to the many other items that the new 'Bidding on the Best' live and silent auctions have to offer and also to the Tourism Cares booth where NTA members can learn about the wonderful things that Tourism Cares does to help the travel industry give back."
Every year, the Tourism Cares live and silent auctions feature items generously donated by NTA members. The theme of this year's silent auction is "Bidding on the Best," which will focus on high-end, unique items. Bidding starts Friday and ends at 5 p.m. Monday before the live auction.
"The silent and live auctions are a long-standing NTA tradition that help Tourism Cares give back to the society," said NTA Chairman and CEO Randy Julian. "NTA is pleased to contribute to the work of Tourism Cares. Their dedication to conservation, restoration, and preservation, as well as to tourism students around the world is one that NTA members are proud to take part in and we are thrilled Stallion Bus Industries has made such a generous donation that will make this year's event a great success."
