Rosewood, Martiz, Wolff & Co. Complete Enhancement of Anasazi

. October 14, 2008

SANTA FE, NM, July 26, 2007. Intimate world-class retreat, Inn of the Anasazi, A Rosewood Hotel has long been celebrated for its magnificent Southwestern style. To ensure that the integrity of the interior continues to match its local architecture, Inn of the Anasazi has just completed a redesign of the entire property including the addition of The Patio, a new outdoor dining venue, as well as the introduction of The Art Loan Program.

Massive doors hand-carved by Morelli depicting authentic Navajo designs welcome guests into the luxurious lobby leading to 57 guest rooms that have been fully restored with ceilings of vigas and latillas, gas-lit kiva fireplaces and handcrafted western fabrics, flooring and seating, creating an undeniable Southwestern experience. Exquisite sandstone walls, native rugs, as well as additional illumination convey a contemporary design found on time-honored principles. Designed by Albuquerque native, Susan Butcher of Susan Butcher Design, her mission was to create an American masterwork that infuses the Inn with eternal Southwestern sophistication. Inspired by the Inn's original architecture by Michael Fuller, Butcher crafted a truly regional interior design which emphasizes the authenticity of the Inn.

"We are thrilled with the design transformations of the Inn," said Marcie Lieberman, Managing Director of Inn of the Anasazi, A Rosewood Hotel. "With the Inn's outstanding food and beverage venues, the addition of The Patio and enhanced guest rooms, we continue to ensure that our guests will enjoy the heritage of the Southwest in a luxurious setting."

Long regarded as one of Santa Fe's top culinary destinations, Inn of the Anasazi has also redesigned the popular bar and restaurant, The Anasazi Restaurant. Adding energy to the Inn, a historic credenza design enlarges the bar area into the facade of the newly restored restaurant, doubling the seating while creating an innovative space to enjoy cocktails and hors d'oeuvres. The highly acclaimed Anasazi Restaurant offers an atmosphere that is both elegant and rustically Southwestern.

Celebrating Executive Chef Martin Rios - recent "Chef of the Year" and "Culinary Professional of the Year" awards, the Inn is pleased to announce the addition of its brand new outdoor dining venue, The Patio. The street-side patio overlooks the historic Santa Fe Plaza, enhancing the enchantment of the legendary four-star, four-diamond Inn. Honoring the culinary legacies of the Southwest, Chef Rios' original style of pairing Southwestern and Asian influences with a refined French technique is captured in menus that fuse fresh seasonal fare and locally grown ingredients with his signature sauces.

One of the most extraordinary new features of the Inn's interior is its dedication to Santa Fe's vibrant art scene. As the nation's third largest art market, Santa Fe offers the Inn a wonderful resource which it celebrates through The Art Loan Program, a revolving collection of locally crafted artwork that will be on display throughout the public areas of the Inn. Each masterpiece presented has been created by a local artist and exemplifies the serene atmosphere of the Inn, as well as its rich cultural roots. The distinct hand-crafted textiles, paintings and carvings will rotate seasonally for guests' enjoyment and all of the pieces will be available for purchase.

Amid Santa Fe's atmosphere of earthiness and artful living, the Inn is a dream for travelers, spanning past and present with accommodations and amenities as beautiful and unusual as its setting. Bringing the Southwestern culture into the 21st century, Inn of the Anasazi is a Santa Fe legend and the new design creates a timeless experience for both the local community and hotel guests.

Effective October 5, 2005 Rosewood assumed management of the 57 room Anasazi following sale of the property to to Maritz, Wolff & Co. Rosewood and Martiz, Wolff & Co. will be investing significant capital to further enhance the existing world-class accommodations, personalized service and outstanding, locally-inspired cuisine.

"We are extremely pleased that Rosewood Hotels & Resorts will manage the Inn of the Anasazi. Rosewood's commitment to elevating fine hospitality to even higher levels of personalized service and focusing on attention to detail has earned them a stellar reputation, an extremely loyal clientele and an impressive list of accolades. The Inn of the Anasazi is the perfect complement to Rosewood's collection of world-class hotels and resorts," commented Philip Maritz, President Maritz, Wolff & Co.
