SANTA BARBARA, CA, July 24, 2007. Elite Meetings International (EMI) announced today the opening of two new offices in Mexico City and Cancun, Mexico. Mauricio Aceves, based in Cancun, will lead the team as Regional Director of Latin America and the Caribbean. Caroline Musy, also based in Cancun, and Renata Villa, in Mexico City, join him as Regional Managers.
Aceves brings 14 years of experience in the luxury hospitality industry, first as a director of sales and marketing and later, as regional director for a high-end marketing solutions firm. Musy shares a background in hospitality, while Villa brings expertise in on-line marketing.
"We're very happy to welcome Mauricio, Caroline, and Renata to our family," says EMI CEO Kelly Foy. "These additional offices will allow us to communicate effectively with our Latin American and Caribbean partners," Foy explains. "This expansion also reflects our desire to give greater visibility to the many incredible properties in these regions both through www.EliteMeetings.net and our new Latin America/Caribbean edition of Elite Meetings magazine, slated for the latter half of 2008."
"Caroline, Renata, and I couldn't be happier about collaborating with such a dynamic company," says Aceves. "From day one, we've been impressed with the quality of its products and the effectiveness of its services," he adds. "We look forward to contributing to EMI's future success by sharing its innovative initiatives with the top hotels and resorts in these regions."
The new hires reflect the company's aggressive growth strategy planned for this summer and fall-a move aimed at furthering the company's reach into the high-end meeting market. The company reports plans for additional key hires in the coming months.
