In highly competitive markets, companies and brands must constantly work to remain top of mind for their customers.
To do this, companies will take a variety of different approaches aimed at improving their business with the ultimate end goal of engaging and increasing their customer base.
Examples of different approaches include predicting impactful trends, consistently monitoring customer satisfaction and expectations and offering one-of-a-kind experiences.
The hotel industry is no stranger to a competitive market and has become a leader in adapting to popular trends that drive business and increase customer satisfaction. With constant changes to travel recommendations and requirements, stay accommodations and popular travel trends, hotels must remain on top of current news and trends to ensure they are on par with or outperforming their competitors by offering a valuable stay for their guests.
The latest, most widespread trend that has swept industries is wellness. While often grouped into the same category as fitness, wellness differs by including fitness, health, and recovery, but it goes a step further in its definition. Wellness is typically defined as a practice that works to improve healthy habits on a daily basis with the ultimate goal of improving both physical and mental health. Wellness looks different for everyone, but typical practices include habits that work to improve spiritual, emotional, physical, and social habits and health.
During the COVID-19 Pandemic, and in the time that has since followed, people began taking a greater interest in personal wellness. In the coming years, The Global Wellness Institute estimates the wellness economy to grow to nearly $7 trillion by 2025 with an average annual growth rate of 9.9%. Whether it be physical wellness, mental wellness or both, most adults are familiar with the wellness industry and have implemented their own methods to integrate wellness into their personal routines.
