Trianon Palace & Spa to be Transformed
PARIS, France, July 23, 2007. The legendary Trianon Palace & Spa in Versailles will undergo a complete refurbishment and transformation this summer.
Noted interior designer Fiona Thompson will oversee the renovation of the 200-room property, located just steps away from the famed Chateau de Versailles, while landscape designer Louis Benech will restore the hotel's famed gardens.
This first part of the Trianon Palace's transformation will be completed by August 27, including the 101 rooms and 20 suites in the Palace wing, and will pay tribute to the existing historical architecture while incorporating a new level of sophistication, refinement and modernity. The 99 rooms located in the Pavillion wing (which will remain open for guests during the Palace room renovations), along with the spa and restaurants, will be completed by early 2008.
The newly renovated Trianon Palace & Spa, to be completed in February 2008, will feature a newly restored entrance hall, reception area, gallery, restaurant and brasserie overlooking the infamous Ch^ateau gardens. Elegant yet understated, the rooms will incorporate light and contrast the rich dark wood furnishings with luxurious materials in vibrant monochrome colors.
