Hilton San Diego Names Senior Sales Manager
SAN DIEGO, CA, July 18, 2007. Denise Vissat has been named Senior Sales Manager at the Hilton San Diego Sales Complex where she will manage the Midwest Association market and Midwest Experient account for the Convention Sales Team (301+ rooms on peak.)
Vissat comes to us from the San Diego Convention Center where she started over 19 years ago. She began her career as the Booking Coordinator and never left. She was promoted to local sales, regional sales, national sales manager, director of sales and eventually to Associate VP of Sales.
Vissat is also very involved in the San Diego community and volunteers her time by actively participating on many boards and committees. She is currently on the Board of Directors for the Southwest Chapter of IAEE (International Association of Exhibition & Events); is a past board member of NACS (National Association of Consumer Shows); and past President and current newsletter editor of the local chapter of HSMAI (Hospitality Sales & Marketing Association International).
Vissat has also received some noteworthy awards including the HMA (Hotel/Motel Association) Gold Key Award for Sales person of the Year and the TWIN (Tribute to Women in the Industry) Award.
Denise is a native of the Netherlands and grew up in many countries including Morocco, Iran, Mexico and England, before deciding to come to the US to study. She has an undergraduate Journalism degree from the University of Texas and a Masters in French Literature and a minor in Spanish.
With all of her involvement, knowledge, and skill she will absolutely be a great addition to the Hilton team.
