Elaine Russell Named Spa Director at Four Seasons Nevis
NEVIS, West Indies, July 9, 2007. Andrew Humphries, Regional Vice President and General Manager of Four Seasons Resort Nevis, is pleased to announce Elaine Russell as the Resort's new Spa Director. A seasoned Spa professional, Ms. Russell recently joined Four Seasons Resort Nevis with more than 25 years of experience in the industry, both on the management side and as a hands-on therapist and fitness trainer.
"The Resort is delighted to tap Elaine's wide-ranging expertise in health and wellness techniques," said Mr. Humphries. "We are excited about her specialized knowledge of the indigenous remedies, ingredients and rituals that create distinctive Caribbean spa experiences."
Originally from Jamaica, Ms. Russell joined the Resort from Beaches Turks and Caicos Resort and Spa, where she was Spa Director for three years. Prior to this, she held roles including Corporate Spa Manager for Sandals Resorts International and Spa Manager for Beaches Grande Sport in Jamaica. Among her accomplishments, Ms. Russell was awarded a trip to a Spa Conference of her choice in 2004 and went on to attend the International Spa Association's European Conference in Slovenia. Additionally, she was a key contributor to the Sandals/Beaches "Top Revenue Generating Spa"in 2005.
Ms. Russell is a graduate of the University of Toronto, where she studied Physical Education and Nutrition. In her free time, she takes pleasure in nature and the outdoors, reading, camping on the beach and hiking in the rainforest. She resides in Nevis, West Indies, along with her husband, Richard, and their daughter Israel and son Richard Jr.
Nevis has long drawn visitors as a wellness destination. In the late 1700's, the historic Bath Hotel, believed to be the first hotel in the Caribbean, was known for its healing volcanic springs.
