Bryan D. Scott Acquires the Outlaw Hotel

Plans to Restore the 218 room Hotel to Its Former Glory

. October 14, 2008

KALISPELL, MT, June 7, 2007. In its quest to recreate a great place for people to visit, Flathead County-based Treasure State Commercial Holdings today announced the purchase of the 218 room full-service Outlaw Hotel in Kalispell, Montana from Red Lion Hotels. The property will operate as a hotel independent of a flag and will no longer be affiliated with the WestCoast Hotel brand.

Built in the 1970's, the renowned Outlaw Hotel sits on ten acres and features 14,000 square feet of premium meeting space, a restaurant, lounge, casino, tennis court, racquet ball courts, two indoor pools and standard amenities such as wireless HSIA in the public areas and every guest room.

Bryan D. Scott, president and CEO of Kalispell Hospitality Company, Inc said the new hotel will retain the Outlaw Hotel name and bring back the popular black moustache icon recognized by so many guests. "I am excited at the opportunity to live and work in beautiful Flathead Valley. It's one of the last great places on earth. It's because of the people in the community and the beautiful lakes, trails, and proximity to Glacier Park are great attributes to the Valley. However, the people of the community is why I chose to rebuild something here for the long term," he added.

A phased renovation is planned, beginning later this year with a soft goods replacement consisting of upgraded dreamy bedding and carpet. Deferred major repair and maintenance is also part of the early plan. Scott plans to be mindful of eco-friendly solutions as improvements take place and plans to incorporate energy conservation into the hotel's top priorities. "The building has many areas of distinction such as the block exterior that will be kept intact but enhanced with trim materials. I envision a classic-western, clean looking design with a mix of old. Using native materials, the interior public areas and guest rooms will be enriched with amenities, such as state-of-the-art business suites that have a direct, positive impact on the guest," said Scott.

"This is a strong product even as it stands today. It is right-sized for the area and it offers a lower-cost alternative to the higher-end hotels for a lot of travelers and we feature many of the same amenities you find at our competitors," said Scott.

Scott moved to Montana in 1995 as a financial broker and young entrepreneur where he launched the Flathead Financial Group, an independent full-service financial planning and services company. Inspired by his grandfather, Scott is one of the bright, young minds of Generation Why. "My grandfather instilled high core values in me like honesty and loyalty. He believes in me. I talk with him every day and am fortunate to have him in my life," said Scott.

Using conventional wisdom, Scott has surrounded himself with a group of consultants who embrace his challenge. "My vision is to create a great place where guests want to be, where team members look forward to coming to work and a place that the community can be proud of," he says. "We will offer an experience like no other in the area. I am inspired to stay focused on my vision for the hotel and be involved in the operation. Anything else at this time is just a distraction."

The Outlaw Hotel is accessed on the Global Distribution System under the code WV. The new website URL is www.outlawhotel.com. Reservations can also be made by calling the Outlaw Hotel direct at (406)755-6100.
