Hotel Contessa Names Front Office Manager
SAN ANTONIO, CA, May 22, 2007. April Garza has been appointed front office manager of Hotel Contessa, a luxury, all-suite hotel on the San Antonio River Walk.
The River Walk is a familiar destination for Garza. Prior to joining Hotel Contessa, she was the front office manager of the Watermark Hotel & Spa, also in San Antonio. While at the Watermark, she instituted policies and procedures as well as applied controls that directly resulted in the hotel's strong revenues and profits. Garza's contributions were also instrumental in supporting the hotel's achievement of both four-star and -diamond ratings.
In 2006, Garza was awarded Omni Manager of the Quarter for her role in helping the Watermark receive the number 2 hotel in the U.S. and number 23 in the world rankings by the readers of Cond'e Nast Traveler magazine.
