. October 14, 2008

LAKE PLACID, NY, May 7, 2007. Seasoned real estate professional Margie Papier Philo has joined The Whiteface Lodge Resort & Spa as Director of Real Estate Sales. The appointment is effective May 7, 2007.

"I am delighted to welcome Margie toThe Whiteface Lodge family," said Olivier J.P. Bottois, Chief Operating Officer of The Whiteface Lodge. "Margie is a well respected member of the community and has a unique understanding of the Lake Placid real estate market."

Philo has worked as a real estate broker for Merrill Thomas in Lake Placid for the past 11 years. During her tenure there, she has managed real estate sales and rentals. "She brings a wealth of experience to our organization," said Bottois.

Philo joins The Whiteface Lodge at a time of strategic growth. Following its highly successful debut two years ago, the resort and private residence club was recently acquired by T-Rex Capital LLC. It is currently offering a limited opportunity for purchase of 1/12th ownership in addition to continuing its full ownership option.

The Whiteface Lodge honors the tradition of the Adirondacks Great Camps, adding the highest level of luxury and exclusive amenities for today's owners and vacationers. On the heels of its 2005 opening, the property was named to The Robb Report "Best of the Best" List (one of only two resorts in North America), Cond'e Nast Traveler's "Hot List" and was designated a AAA Four-Diamond property within its first year of operation. The Adirondack Regional Tourism Council honored The Whiteface Lodge with the Annual Private Sector Tourism Partnership Award.

All accommodations reflect the time-honored Adirondack Great Camp style, featuring cast-iron gas fireplaces, mahogany balconies, slate floors, exposed beams, handcrafted wainscoting and master-craftsman cabinetry. The enormous residences reflect the grandeur of the wealthy founding families of the Great Camps, who invented our modern concept of luxury and 'living large.' This unique Adirondack style stands in perfect counterpoint to the modern amenities that set the standard for luxury living today, including high-definition televisions, granite kitchens with high-end appliances, jetted bathtubs, king-sized beds with pillow tops, high-speed Internet service and much more.

All owners at Whiteface Lodge can also enjoy the resort's celebrated Kanu restaurant, Adirondack-style Spa (opening Summer 2007), indoor-outdoor heated pools, fully equipped fitness center, membership to the Canoe Club, outdoor skating rink, family game room, 54-seat movie theater, and access to the outdoor recreation that has defined leisure life in the Adirondacks for more than a century. These activities include snowshoeing and cross-country skiing, mountain biking, boating on Lake Placid, hiking the innumerable mountain trails that surround The Whiteface Lodge and much more.
