Bethesda Marriott Begins Expansion
MAY 3, 2007. The JBG Companies announced today the groundbreaking for the expansion of the Bethesda North Marriott Hotel and Conference Center. Comprised of 225 guestrooms contained in a new wing, the expansion will double the capacity of the property, bringing the total number of guestrooms to 450. Construction is scheduled for completion in January 2009.
Situated at the intersection of Rockville Pike and Marinelli Road, in North Bethesda, Maryland, The Marriott North Bethesda Hotel and Conference Center was completed in 2004 and currently contains 225 superior guest rooms, along with 35,000 square feet of meeting space. JBG purchased the hotel in March 2005. The Conference Center is owned by Montgomery County and is managed by Marriott.
Steps from the White Flint Metro and near shopping, dining and Montgomery County businesses, the Bethesda North Marriott Hotel & Conference Center welcomes guests with hallmark Marriott service, impeccable amenities and premier event facilities. The hotel's conference facilities boast the largest ballroom in Maryland, a 130-person amphitheater and exquisite catering.
