Stephen Burke Appointed VP, Product Management for Knowcross
MAY 3, 2007. Knowcross today announced the appointment of Stephen Burke as Vice President, Product Management. 'We are delighted to have Stephen join the Knowcross team. Prior to signing on with Knowcross Solutions, Stephen was Director of Systems Integration for HBSi in Atlanta, GA, where he led a team of interface architects, developers and analysts who completed over 40 travel industry interfaces based on a variety of technologies, including OTA XML, HTNG Distribution v1.0, HBSi's own proprietary XML schema, and others.
Stephen was earlier a part of the New Orleans-based Hotel Booking Solutions, LLC, where he focused on distribution channel and supply acquisition as well as partner management as VP of Business Development.
Stephen is actively involved in Hotel Technology Next Generation (HTNG), where he is presently co-chairman of the Architecture Workgroup. He also participated in the Property Distribution workgroup and is one of the co-authors of the HTNG Distribution v1.0 specification.
Prior to HBSI, Stephen served in technology management roles for Diamond Data Systems, Sprint E-Solutions and Tulane University. He has consulted on technology issues with Fortune 1000 clients such as Entergy, McDermott International, SCP Pool, Zen-Noh Grain and Solvay, S.A. He has previously presented at industry conferences including HEDNA and HITEC.
Stephen graduated from Tulane University with a degree in Communications and a concentration in Computer Information Systems.
