WEST HOLLYWOOD, CA, May 3, 2007. On June 2nd, nearly 10,000 stylephiles will converge upon West Hollywood's Avenues of Art & Design, an exclusive mile stretch of high-end interior design showrooms, art galleries, fashion boutiques, specialty shops and restaurants for the 10th annual Art & Design Walk. This annual event for tastemakers and style setters is staged along West Hollywood's chic Melrose Avenue, Robertson and Beverly Boulevards-the favorite shopping destinations for LA's elite and celebrity contingent. Over 200 fashion boutiques, design/furniture showrooms, fine art/ antique galleries and restaurants, will keep their doors open late to welcome guests.

The annual Art & Design Walk is the must-do event on the calendars of style conscious Southern Californians who gladly ditch their cars and take to their feet, strolling leisurely through the Avenues, viewing the latest trends in design, fashion, and fine art. The event features special receptions, personal appearances, and food and entertainment hosted by individual showrooms throughout the Avenues of Art & Design. Where to stop...where to shop will be the biggest question on the minds of visitors.

Stylephiles will want to stop at Stella McCartney for a glimpse at the currently in-store Pre-Fall 2007 collections and at John Varvatos, who offers the well-dressed man special annual spring/summer sale savings. Home fashionistas will experience the newly remodeled Diva showroom, paying special attention to its dedicated B& B Italia and Max Alto spaces as well as its new Cassina showroom just a few doors away. Heading North up Robertson, they will find the smashing new "blonde bombshell," four poster Lucite bed at Phyllis Morris/Circa. The Avenues' other fine design showrooms including Armani Casa, Minotti, Modern Living, Jules Seltzer and many more will all have special surprises throughout the evening.

Art aficionados are in for a very special treat too. "Andy Warhol-Factory or Fiction," an extensive collection of unique, edition and unpublished prints and canvas works from Andy Warhol will debut at Hamilton-Selway Fine Art. Louis Stern Fine Arts continues its ground-breaking series of exhibitions featuring Southern California's extraordinary mid-Twentieth Century Hard Edge artists with "Infinite Distance - Architectural Compositions by Helen Lundeberg."

Stylephiles take to the streets for Avenues of Art & Design 10th Annual Walk

For the seventh consecutive year, The Avenues of Art & Design is partnering with The Fashion Institute of Design & Merchandising (FIDM) for the exhibition of "Chairing Styles" at the Art and Design Walk. The exhibition includes a display of 11 original chairs designed by FIDM's interior design students and 11 matching gowns.

This year's event benefits Inner- City Arts, a downtown Los Angeles non-profit arts education center founded to enrich the lives of inner-city children through a total arts program. The Inner-City Arts Chorus, a group of young artists will perform special musical selections. A live auction for luxury products and services donated by the Avenues' participating showrooms and galleries will take place the day of the event to benefit Inner-City Arts.

The private prequel to Saturday's Avenues Art & Design Walk is the dynamic culinary experience called Tables of Ten where world renowned designers, showrooms and chefs unite for a tour-de-force of design and cuisine, creating an stunning exhibit of dining spaces set among the outdoor plaza of the dramatic Pacific Design Center, where guests will enjoy gourmet dinners prepared by some of California's most talented chefs. Proceeds from Tables for Ten also benefit Inner -City Arts.
