MONTREAL, Canada, April 26, 2007. Robert D. Roy has been named General Manager of Loews Hotel Vogue in Montr'eal. An accomplished hotelier, Roy brings more than 23 years of experience to the post, his first with Loews Hotels. Previously, he spent nine years with Fairmont Hotels & Resorts, most recently as Director of Operations at the Fairmont Ch^ateau Laurier in Ottawa.

Prior to this, Roy was Director of Sales & Marketing at the Fairmont Le Ch^ateau Frontenac in Qu'ebec.

He began his hospitality industry career in 1984 with Westin Hotels & Resorts, working in a variety of food & beverage positions at the Westin Ottawa. In 1990, he transferred to the Toronto National Sales Office as a National Accounts Manager. In 1995, he joined Canadian Pacific Hotels & Resorts as Director of Sales and Marketing at the Hotel Newfoundland and, two years later, joined the Ch^ateau Mont Tremblant in the same position.

A native of Canada, Roy holds degrees in marketing and international business from the University of Ottawa.
