Waterford Appoints James Riker GM of Hartford Hilton
HARTFORD, CT, April 24, 2007. Waterford Hotel Group has appointed James Riker as the new General Manager of the Hilton Hartford Hotel . As General Manager, Riker will be responsible for all of the hotel's operations, sales and administration, as well as more than 240 associates. Waterford Hotel Group, Inc. professionally manages the 393-room Hilton Hartford, which reopened in 2005 as a state-of-the-art, luxury hotel with all the benefits and convenience of a downtown location.
Riker brings extensive industry experience, as well as strong familiarity with the New England market to the hotel. Since 1998, he has served as Regional Hotel Director for Waterford Hotel Group. During his tenure, Jim oversaw operational efforts for more than 30 hotels across the country. Previously, Riker gained extensive hospitality experience serving as Area Manager and General Manager at many locations throughout the United States. He is a graduate of the University of Utah, and is currently a resident of Ledyard, CT.
