Air France Brings Top International Tour Operators and Travel Press for a "DREAM WEEK" in San Franci

SAN FRANCISCO, CA, September 23, 2005. Forty top travel agents and international travel trade press from 35 countries are in San Francisco through Monday, September 26, as part of Air France's "Crescendo - The Grand Journey" program. This is the first time the program has been executed in the United States and the first time at a non-resort destination.
"Crescendo" is an Air France travel agent reward program. More than 20,000 members representing 6,430 travel agencies are enrolled in the program. Each year Air France offers agencies the chance to earn a spot in "The Grand Journey." The prize is a "dream week" in another country.
Among the countries represented are Austria, Belgium, Bulgaria, Croatia, Czechoslovakia, Denmark, Dominican Republic, Finland, French Guiana, Greece, Guadeloupe, Hungary, Israel, Madagascar, Martinique, Mauritius, Morocco, Norway, Poland, Portugal, Reunion, Romania, Russia, Slovakia, Slovenia, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, Turkey and the Ukraine.
The San Francisco Convention & Visitors Bureau (SFCVB) has been working with Air France for over a year to coordinate an exclusive itinerary for the group, including a treasure hunt that will have the participants searching the city in teams for clues, information and prizes.
Other activities in the San Francisco Bay Area include a tour of the city by motorized cable car, a behind the scenes look at Alcatraz, a wine tasting excursion to Sonoma County, plus the option to experience the city's museums, attractions and sightseeing tours.
