IHG to Manage Two New Hotels in New Delhi
MARCH 6, 2008. IHG (InterContinental Hotels Group) has signed an agreement with leading Indian real estate developer Eros to manage two new hotels - a 200-room InterContinental and a 264-room Holiday Inn - in the capital city of New Delhi.
Both hotels will be developed as part of an integrated complex in the prestigious residential suburb of Mayur Vihar in East Delhi. The hotels will be linked to shopping malls, offices and premium residences, with easy access to nearby technology parks, industrial belts and places of interest. Construction has commenced and opening is scheduled for 2011.
Michael Herrmann, director of operations, IHG Southwest Asia, said: "These two new strategically located hotels will appeal to corporate and leisure travelers and will showcase global InterContinental and Holiday Inn brand standards.
