Stella Group Consolidates Under Mantra Banner
APRIL 1, 2008. The Stella Hospitality Group has consolidated its corporate and leisure properties under the Mantra banner to create Australia's largest 4 - 4.5 star hotel, resort and apartment brand.
Stella officially announced the completion of its extensive integration program today, which has brought the group's Saville and Pacific International properties under the Mantra umbrella to form a diverse collection of more than 50 hotels, resorts and apartments with further expansion planned.
Stella Hospitality Group Chief Executive Officer Bob East said the rebranding is a direct response to rising customer need for a simplified and streamlined business model to meet all accommodation requirements.
"Bringing the Saville and Pacific International properties into the Mantra family delivers guests a reliable and highly-recognisable brand for all corporate, conference and leisure needs,'' Mr East said.

Mr East said the rebranding was a natural progression for Stella with Mantra, Saville and Pacific International having offered a very similar product in leisure and CBD locations in the past.
The integration process will also see a small number of Saville and Pacific International hotels rebranded as BreakFree - Stella's 3-4 star, self-contained apartment brand.
