Solare Begins Construction on Four Chisun Inns
Solare Debuts Opening Two Chisun Inns Simultaneously in Spring 2009 in Oita Prefecture
MAY 14, 2008. Solare Hotels & Resorts Co. Ltd. will start construction in summer 2008 of Roadside-type Chisun Inns in Takamatsu City (Kagawa Prefecture) and Hakodate City (Hokkaido) as well as celebrate Solare's debut in both Oita and Beppu City (Oita Prefecture), with two new exciting hotel properties.
Chisun Inn Beppu is to be built on a hilltop, commanding a panoramic view of picturesque Beppu Bay, next door to a hot spring facility. Famous as a hot springs resort, Beppu City welcomed 11.76 million tourists in 2006. The area is also home to B Con Plaza, one of the largest convention centers in Western Japan. With superior convention facilities nearby and considered one of Japan's foremost hot spring destinations, Chisun Inn Beppu expects to welcome leisure and business travelers alike.
Chisun Inn Oita-Mera Inter is close to waterfront industrial areas, where numerous power plants, chemical and various other factories are located. Oita City is also home to professional soccer and basketball teams and premier sports facilities including the Kyushu Oil Dome and Oita Sports Park. Accordingly, in addition to business travellers, Solare anticipates a variety of guests including athletes and sporting enthusiasts.
Chisun Inn Takamatsu Chuo Inter is the second roadside-type Chisun Inn in Kagawa Prefecture, following the Chisun Inn Marugame Zentsuji. The hotel will be located just off the Takamatsu Expressway, which runs through the island of Shikoku. Nearby are many high-tech software firms, large hospitals and one of the largest convention facilities, the Sun Messe Kagawa. The area enjoys a variety of visitor traffic, which Solare is ideally positioned to attract.
Chisun Inn Hakodate Inter in Hakodate City is one of the most picturesque cities in Hokkaido, attracting visitors from all over the country as well as from nearby Asian countries. Conveniently located by Goryokaku Tower, well known as one of Hakodate's premier tourist attractions, as well as the Hakodate Ferry Terminal and various factories. Solare anticipates meeting the needs of both business and leisure travellers.
Solare Hotels & Resorts CEO A.G. Virili comments, 'We continue to actively develop and expand our roadside-type hotel network. To date, Solare has opened 11 Chisun Inns and a further 29 are under development or construction, including the four announced today. These latest additions are pivotal in consolidating our Kyushu network and crystallizing our national rollout plan.'
