Riu Ocho Rios to Open Oct. 28 2005
OCHO RIOS, Jamaica, September 29, 2005. On October 28, 2005, the 856-room Riu Ocho Rios will open in the seaside town of Ocho Rios, located on the north coast of Jamaica. Riu Ocho Rios, the largest Riu resort in the Caribbean, will be the third Riu resort in Jamaica joining its sister resorts Riu Tropical Bay (opened in 2001) and Riu Negril (opened in 2004).
The all-inclusive resort faces a long stretch of white sand beach with lush mountains to the south and numerous attractions from waterfalls and historic sites to shopping and nightlife just minutes away.
Guest rooms at Riu Ocho Rios are situated in two 6-story buildings and one 5-story building, both of which are surrounded by more than 295,000 square feet of tropical gardens.
