Elite Meetings magazine to arrive on newsstands July 1

. October 14, 2008

SANTA BARBARA, CA, July 1, 2008. Elite Meetings International, Inc. announced today that its 2008 issue of Elite Meetings magazine will be sold on major airport newsstands starting July 1, 2008, through high-volume airports in select Hudson News cities.

The distribution plan includes some of the busiest airports in the U.S.: Chicago's Midway and O'Hare, plus John F. Kennedy International Airport, LaGuardia Airport, and Los Angeles International Airport. Other high-traffic locations slated to receive the publication include New York's Grand Central and Penn Stations.

"This is a major milestone for Elite Meetings, as we had not planned on any newsstand distribution until at least 2009," says Kelly Foy, chief executive officer. "We're excited to offer travelers another high-end alternative to the traditional consumer travel magazine," Foy adds.

The 304-page magazine, subtitled, "The Planner's Source for Luxury Meetings and Incentive Travel" will sell on newsstands for $14.95. It features 145 of North America's top luxury properties for corporate meetings and incentive retreats, plus 85 hotels and resorts in development that Elite Meetings International expects to approve for Elite Certification.

Other magazine highlights include articles on green meetings, team building, a 12-month industry events calendar, and more. The 145 Elite Certified properties featured in the second edition of Elite Meetings magazine come from all over North America, from The Fairmont Chateau Lake Louise in Alberta, Canada, to Grand Velas All Suites & Spa Resort in Nayarit, Mexico. Diverse in more than just geography, the properties span every size and character-from the high-style resplendence of The Venetian in Las Vegas to the low-profile intimacy of San Ysidro Ranch, A Rosewood Resort in the foothills of Santa Barbara, California. Yet, all share one thing in common: an emphasis on luxury.

The distribution agreement with Hudson comes on the heels of the launch of "version 2.0" of EliteMeetings.com, which has received rave reviews for its functionality and ease of use for planners searching for the best hotels and resorts for their North American events.
