San Diego is Site of 2009 ALIS Conference
JULY 22, 2008. The Americas Lodging Investment Summit (ALIS), the world's largest hotel investment conference, moves to San Diego, California, for its 8th annual meeting January 26-28, 2009. To be held at the soon-to-open Hilton San Diego Bayfront hotel.
ALIS features an extensive program of seminars and panels, and serves as a central networking place for hotel executives, investors, lenders, developers, and professional financial advisors prominent in the international hotel investment community. The conference's new home along the San Diego bay brings with it more hotel event space and a new array of nearby attractions, restaurants, and investment opportunities for delegates to explore during their stay.
In 2008, more than 3,000 delegates attended the two-and-a-half-day event co-hosted by the American Hotel & Lodging Association (AH&LA) and BHN, to close deals and gain insight from leading experts and investors on important trends and new opportunities in hotel investments.
'Relocating ALIS to the new Hilton property in San Diego was a strategic move to enhance the conference's effectiveness on a multitude of levels,' said BHN President and Conference Chair, Jim Burba. 'The new location offers expansive meeting space to optimize delegates' networking and deal-making experiences, as well as a great waterfront location in 'America's Finest City.'' Burba continued, 'The new venue coupled with an exciting program focusing on the outlook for hotel investments during these relatively challenging times, should be a huge hit for ALIS delegates.'
Proceeds from ALIS benefit the educational, research, and training missions of the Educational Institute (EI) of the American Hotel & Lodging Education Foundation (AH&LEF), AH&LA's nonprofit affiliate.
Registration is now open for the 2009 conference via the ALIS Website at www.alisconference.com. Delegates can save $125 (USD) by registering before September 26, 2008.
