Four Points by Sheraton to Open in Lancaster, PA
WHITE PLAINS, September 22, 2008. Starwood Hotels & Resorts Worldwide, Inc. (NYSE: HOT) today announced that its Four Points by Sheraton brand will open a newly constructed hotel in Lancaster, Pennsylvania - the heart of Amish Country. Owned by a private investor, Four Points by Sheraton Lancaster will be managed by Willow Valley Associates. The 125-room property will offer comfortable and stylish accommodations and popular extras such as free high-speed Internet.
Drawing more than five million tourists a year, the quaint town of Lancaster offers a delightful mix of covered bridges and one-room schoolhouses, as well as a vast selection of factory outlet stores. Four Points by Sheraton Lancaster will be across from the Dutch Wonderland Amusement Park and close to theaters, restaurants and several area golf courses. Just minutes from downtown Lancaster, the new hotel will be eight miles from Lancaster Airport and approximately 30 minutes from Harrisburg International Airport.
