Lowe Taps Rick Rush to Join Acquisitions Team

ENGLEWOOD, CO, November 1, 2006. Mike Everett, senior vice president of acquisitions for Lowe Hospitality Group (LHG)/Destination Hotels & Resorts (DH&R), today announced that Rick Rush has joined the company as vice president of hospitality investments. The LHG/DH&R acquisitions team is responsible for growing the portfolio of Denver-based Destination Hotels & Resorts. The LHG/DH&R hospitality acquisitions team is also responsible for the sourcing, negotiations and closing of lodging acquisitions on behalf of the company's investment clients including Lowe Hospitality Investment Partners, a $266 million discretionary fund that invests solely in hotel and resort properties.

Both companies are subsidiaries of Los Angeles-based Lowe Enterprises, a leading national real estate investment, development and management firm.

Rush joins the LHG/DH&R team after 10 years with Denver-based Sage Hospitality where he was senior vice president of acquisitions and helped lead a period of significant growth for the company. Prior to leading the acquisitions team, he also held various operations positions for Sage including vice president of operations. Rush's tenure in hospitality also includes a variety of leadership positions with Marriott International.

Rush's appointment rounds out the LHG/DH&R team of Everett, John Rosen, vice president hospitality investments, and Adam Drake, director hospitality investments.

Rush is a graduate of the University of South Carolina. He lives in Denver with his wife Betsy and their two children.
