"2008 was abanner year for our hotels in the terms of Reservations," says Ramesh Gokal, President & COO."Our expectation is to always deliver at minimum more than what our hotels pay us in fees. By focusing on our three key areas (reservations, web marketing, and support) our hotels will continue to see a strong return on their investment with us."
While average rates softened in the fourth quarter for the brand, the brand still reports arobust year end ADR of $58.00. "Most of the softening was due to strong contributions fromdiscount travel sites. You have to go to where the guests are booking to receive the roomnights" says Harvel. "Although all of our segments are strong we saw more activity from the discount sites especially in the latter half of the year". The VISTA(R) websitewww.vistarez.com boasted a strong ADR of $66.00. The CRS Component had a strong rate aswell of $60.00. "None of this could be possible without our partners in reservations and web marketing being able to see our vision and following through with our directives" says Harvel. "While our excitement for 2009 is tempered a little with the economic indicators, we believe this year will be another great year for our hotels. We continue to strive forward using nontraditional methodology to bring more revenue and services to our hotels."
