Noble House Hotels To Provide Employee Housing
BELLEVUE, WA, October 19, 2005. Noble House Hotels & Resorts, a collection of 13 upper upscale and deluxe properties based here, has begun a program to acquire 100 residences for staff members who are unable to pay the high cost of housing in a number of its more expensive destinations.
Such destinations include Santa Fe, NM, where Noble House owns the Inn & Spa at Loretto, and Naples, FL, where the company owns LaPlaya Beach & Golf Resort.
The residences range from single family homes, which would be suitable for general managers, to condominium townhouse apartments for lower-level employees. Chairman Pat Colee said such steps were necessary as a form of employee retention. Given the high cost of housing in these communities, valued staff members often have no choice but to leave in search of jobs elsewhere.
