Red Roof's Executive Team Grows
FEBRUARY 6, 2009 - Red Roof continues to strengthen its internal ranks as it moves forward with a strategic plan for national growth, on target to unveil its new NextGen prototype this Spring. Recently Promoted:
o Senior Vice President of Operations, Randy Fox is responsible for leading the operations of approximately 200 corporately owned properties. Fox helped develop and implement key programs at Red Roof that have had a substantial impact on the success of the company; these programs include the development and leadership of the revenue management department, implementation of WiFi, the All Inclusive King room concept and the new bedding package that J.D. Power and Associates ranked number one in the economy segment. Prior to his current position, Fox served as Regional Vice President of Operations for Red Roof when the company was owned by Accor North America from 1999 - 2007.
New Hire:
o Senior Vice President of Reservations and Distribution Services, Larry Daniel is responsible for the development and the oversight of the company's reservation services including Contact Center, GDS, and web database administration. In this position as Red Roof transitions away from Accor, Daniel is setting up the company's new contact center that will be located in Springfield, Ohio. Daniel will also migrate the GDS and web database functions to Red Roof's new reservations platform.
In other news, Red Roof's Senior Vice President of Sales and Marketing, Marina MacDonald, responsible for helping Red Roof achieve its annual goals and objectives by leading and directing the brand's sales and marketing programs, was recently appointed to the Hospitality Sales & Marketing Association International (HSMAI) 2009 Americas Board of Directors. "HSMAI is thrilled to add Marina MacDonald to the HSMAI Americas Board of Directors," says Bob Gilbert, President, HSMAI. "Her addition ensures that we have representation from multiple hotel brands and from multiple sectors of the industry. A board with such diversity ensures that HSMAI will continue to evolve by developing educational programs and services relevant to sales, marketing, revenue and distribution management professionals in the entire industry."
