OMNI/Dunfey Hotels Alumni reunion set for November 19th

BOSTON, MA, October 24, 2005. Former executive and line employees of the Dunfey and Omni Hotels Corporations, which became simply Omni Hotels during the 1980's, have set a date of Saturday, November 19, 2005 for a large-scale reunion dinner celebration. The event will take place at The Colonnade Hotel in Boston, hosted by Omni/Dunfey alumnus Vice President and Managing Director, David Colella.

Long recognized as one of the most prolific incubators for hotel management talent, the former Dunfey Hotels Corporation grew from a New England based firm into a national brand with trophy hotel properties in most of the major markets in the United States. The company then purchased the Omni Hotels group and merged the two companies into the Omni brand.

Jerry DiPietro, a Dunfey alumnus and now president of TourCo is coordinating the reunion details through his firm. "We were all fortunate to have had such a terrific education in the hospitality industry from the Dunfey organization and many of those former employees are now in leading positions at national and international hotel brands," DiPietro said.
