Trust International Implements CRS for HUSA Hoteles
Takes Dominant Position In Spain's CRS Provider Marketplace
FRANKFURT, Germany / BARCELONA, Spain, February 22, 2009 - Global hotel distribution leader Trust International secured a new contract and has implemented its full suite of centralized reservation systems (CRS) for Barcelona-based HUSA Hoteles, which operates more than 160 three- and four-star hotels in key business and leisure destinations, including Spain, Belgium, Argentina, the U.S., Egypt and Morocco. With the contract win, Trust has solidified its position as the largest CRS and distribution provider for hotel chains in Spain.
HUSA has made the move to Trust International as one of multiple strategic initiatives, including the launch of HUSA's private label global distribution services (GDS) code (GP) and the integration with their new in-house CRS that powers its own internet booking engine and call center reservation system.
"When we decided to launch the HUSA Hoteles brand in the GDS, and then to transition to private label, we knew success would require a partner known for reliable technology and service excellence," said Joan Gaspart Solves, President of HUSA Hoteles. "Trust International has clearly met both of these needs by adding the latest technology, a culture of continuous improvement and a deep understanding of our requirements and goals. Trust will enable us to exploit new opportunities while focusing on our core business and managing the resulting company growth."
Improved Operational Efficiencies & Cost Savings
The transition to Trust International has enabled HUSA to move away from its previously complex operational procedures of maintaining four separate CRSs, which left them with the arduous task of updating content, rates and inventory in multiple places. Trust International's consolidation to Voyager|CRS as a single distribution platform, complete with a two-way Trust|Connect interface with HUSA's own CRS, has introduced a previously unseen level of real-time functionality along with the best service levels in the industry. These changes have immediately translated into substantial operational efficiencies, improved data integrity and a single image of inventory, all of which represent significant cost savings and the priceless opportunity to grow HUSA's business in both GDS and IDS (internet distribution systems) channels.
Graham Bray, Regional VP for Europe, Africa and the Middle East added, "We've had an excellent transition experience with the HUSA team, with all members working together to complete the selection process and cutover in six months, with the actual implementation completed in well under 60 working days. We look forward to working closely with HUSA Hoteles to maximize their growth in these important electronic channels."
