HFTP Helps Members Take Career to the Next Level
MARCH 3, 2009 - Helping to keep the hospitality industry active during times of economic distress, Hospitality Financial and Technology Professionals (HFTP(R)) encourages hospitality professionals to take advantage of HFTP's online Career Center. Through the Career Center, HFTP members are able to post and apply for hospitality finance and technology jobs around the world.
With the increase in job seekers and fewer jobs available right now, the Career Center offers HFTP members a concentrated search for hospitality industry jobs posted by potential employers. Along with reviewing job postings, HFTP members searching for a job can visit the ProLinks Forums to post their resume viewable by potential employers. The Career Center's secure method of job posting and searching also lowers the risk of phishing and spam received after answering an employer's posting, a reason why some are hesitant to turn to the web for job hunting.
'Some employers are steering away from posting positions on the major career web sites to suppress the amount of irrelevant applicants for one job,' said Frank Wolfe, CAE, CEO of HFTP. 'Web sites like HFTP's Career Center allow employers to find qualified applicants in a safe and secure way.'
Other career resources offered by HFTP include educational conferences, where attendees gain valuable insight into the hospitality industry and network with colleagues, ProLinks online communities and webinars, offering a global network to cover members' latest issues and interests, and certification as a Certified Hospitality Accountant Executive (CHAE) or Certified Hospitality Technology Professional (CHTP), which shows dedication to the profession.
