American Resort Development Association Launches Hcareers-Powered Career
NORTH VANCOUVER, BC, October 25, 2005. Hcareers, the dominant job board for the hospitality, restaurant, and retail industries, today launched the Employment Centre at Arda.org. The web-based employment tool will ease the painstaking job search and recruitment process for job seekers and employers in the timeshare industry.
The vacation ownership industry has evolved into a unique profession with distinct personnel and managerial needs and has outgrown its ability to rely on recruiting from hotels. According to an industry study, there were 1,668 vacation ownership resorts operating in the U.S. as of January 1, 2005. Today, timeshare human resource managers seek more specialized professionals who appreciate how the needs of owners differ from those of transient hospitality guests, and who can learn the particular operational patterns of the timeshare resort operation.
The American Resort Development Association (ARDA) will provide their website visitors with the first of its kind industry-wide human resource application, facilitating Internet and print classified advertising recruiting, and wage and benefits calibrations. Hcareers is one among three partners that will support ARDA on the project.
"Hcareers is very pleased to be partnering with the nation's leading timeshare association," said Karen MacPherson chief executive officer of Hcareers. "The ARDA Resort Employment Center will be an extremely valuable tool for both job seekers and employers in the industry, and Hcareers is excited to be a part of this initiative," added MacPherson.
ARDA members are encouraged to place their job vacancies on the ARDA Resort Employment Center at a discounted rate. All jobs that are posted on Arda.org, will also appear on Hcareers.com to supply the advertisement with maximum exposure to more than 900,000 unique job seeker visitors per month. In addition to a discount on job listings, Arda.org members will benefit from access to the largest pool of quality candidates, while reducing their hiring cycle and lowering their cost per hire.
"The ARDA Resort Employment Center will be the most valuable one-stop solution in the vacation ownership industry for resort management firms and homeowners' associations to recruit employees, and to calibrate their wage and benefit programs, at true member discounts from the leading providers of such services, " said Howard Nusbaum, president and chief executive officer of ARDA.
