Choice Opens 100th Extended Stay Property
MainStay Suites Hotel of Clarksville TN
MARCH 23, 2009 - Choice Hotels International, Inc. (NYSE: CHH) recently celebrated the opening of its 100th extended stay hotel with the grand opening of the MainStay Suites hotel of Clarksville, Tenn.
"Both the MainStay Suites and Suburban Extended Stay Hotel brands have come a long way in recent years and we're excited to be able to now celebrate the milestone of opening our 100th extended stay property," said Kevin Lewis, president of extended stay brands for Choice Hotels. "The fact that developer interest in both our two extended stay brands hasn't decreased even in the current economy goes to show not only that Choice really has two great products here, but also that our extended stay family is something truly special to be a part of."
The 100th extended stay hotel by Choice Hotels also features the company's newly-unveiled updated and modern MainStay Suites prototype design. The warm and inviting interior design focuses on guest comfort and convenience and features a comfortable community room with big screen TV and internet nook for socializing and relaxing, and newly designed guestrooms with all of the comforts of home. The very first MainStay Suites hotel within the brand to receive the new design recently opened in Houma, La.
Other attendees at the 100th property event included Owners Mike and Kim Van Stavern and Owner Mark Randolph, General Manager Maggie Moran, and representatives from the Clarksville Chamber of Commerce and nearby Fort Campbell. The grand opening event featured a special ribbon-cutting and award event, as well as a live remote radio broadcast, guided property tours and prize giveaways sponsored by the franchised hotel including Choice Hotels gift cards, Choice Privileges rewards points and a tropical cruise for two.
