Keri Robinson Named GM Sheraton San Diego

MARCH 26, 2009 - With several decades of highly successful hospitality management experience, Keri Robinson has relocated to San Diego to lend her expertise to the role of Area Managing Director for Starwood Hotels and Resorts in San Diego as well as assuming responsibilities as General Manager for the Sheraton San Diego Hotel & Marina, which recently underwent a $28 million renovation.

Prior to moving to San Diego, Keri was the general manager of the Sheraton Seattle Hotel. She was responsible for all aspects of the 1,258 room convention hotel. She oversaw the two year $130 million expansion that was completed in 2007 making it the largest hotel in Seattle and the premier convention hotel in the Pacific Northwest.

Prior to joining the Sheraton Seattle, Keri was the general manager of The Westin Pasadena from January 2004 through May 2006 and the general manager of the Sheraton Cerritos Hotel from January 2000 through December 2003. In these assignments she led major renovations and repositioning efforts.

Before managing the hotels, Keri was the director of franchise operations for the western region of Starwood Hotels & Resorts' franchise division. In that position, she was the liaison between Starwood and general managers and owners of franchised Westin, Sheraton and Four Points hotels. She has been with Sheraton and its parent company Starwood for over 23 years.

With each hotel assignment, Keri has held key positions in the community, including Board Member for the Pasadena Center Operating Committee and Vice President of the Cerritos Chamber of Commerce. She served on the Executive Board of Directors for Seattle's Convention and Visitors Bureau and on the Executive Board of Directors of the Seattle Hotel Association. With her move to San Diego, she has recently joined the Board of Directors of the San Diego Port Tenant's Association.

Keri graduated from Cornell University in 1985 with a degree in Hotel and Restaurant Administration and hails from Portland, Oregon.
