Moore to Lead Catering for Westin St. Louis
Catering expert/TV chef tapped for special events
ST. LOUIS, MO, October 26, 2005. A veteran special events planner who has planned a barbecue for President Bush and the Washington, D.C., press corps, helped transform the historic Eads Bridge into a catering venue for 550 guests, and created, prepared and demonstrated hundreds of new recipes on live morning television has joined The Westin St. Louis as director of catering.
Marianne Moore brings 10 years experience to her new position as director of catering at The Westin, where she is responsible for catering sales for social, corporate, wedding and kosher markets. The Westin St. Louis is the only downtown hotel with a separate kitchen dedicated solely to the preparing, serving and storage of kosher food and the only AAA Four-Diamond Award-winning hotel in the area to offer kosher catering under the watchful eye of the Vaad Hoeir of St. Louis.

Prior to joining The Westin, Moore served as general manager, St. Louis region for Wolfgang Puck Catering and also was director of catering for the Ritz-Carlton St. Louis. Prior to that she was director of catering for Super Smokers Catering while also serving as the morning show chef on Fox2 News in the Morning. For four years, she also was as an associate professor of hospitality and food service management at Southwestern Illinois College in Belleville.
Moore attended Southwestern Illinois College and holds an associate's degree in hospitality and food service management.
