Eight Daytona Beach Area Superior Small Lodgings Nominated for 2005 White Gloves Award

DAYTONA, FL, November 3, 2005. Eight members of the Daytona Beach area' Superior Small Lodging program have been nominated for Florida Superior Small Lodging's 2005 Donal A. Dermody White Gloves Award recognizing exemplary professional housekeeping.

"We are extremely proud that so many of our quality small properties have been recognized with a nomination. These properties have gone above and beyond to make sure their inn is well kept and inviting," says Roxanne Olsen, director of membership and promotions for the Daytona Beach Area Convention and Visitors Bureau.

The following Daytona Beach area motels and inns will compete against other small properties from throughout Florida for the 2005 White Gloves Award: Miss Pat's Inn Bed & Breakfast, Daytona Beach; Studio 1 Motel, Daytona Beach; The Villa Bed & Breakfast, Daytona Beach; Audrey's Beach House, Daytona Beach Shores; Tropical Manor, Daytona Beach Shores; the Longboard Inn Bed & Breakfast, New Smyrna Beach; The Alling House Bed & Breakfast, Orange City; and last year's winner, The Ann Stevens House Bed & Breakfast in Lake Helen.

"These inns are stellar examples of the wide array of quality owner-operated properties we have in the Daytona Beach area ^aEUR" each with their own distinct ambience and charm," Olsen explains.

The winner of the White Gloves Award will be announced in December during the annual state Superior Small Lodging banquet.

A quality assurance program, Superior Small Lodging was founded in 1989 and has more than 400 members in Florida. The program was introduced in the Daytona Beach area in 1992 and is coordinated by the Daytona Beach Area Convention and Visitors Bureau.
