. October 14, 2008

SCHAUMBURG, IL, November 7, 2005. When the new 500-room Renaissance Hotel opens here in mid-2006, the asset manager will be HVS International. The company was recently named as the asset manager by the Village of Schaumburg, northwest of Chicago. Mark Lynn, president of HVS Asset Management, and Thomas Hazinski, managing director of HVS Convention, Sports and Entertainment services, will oversee HVS' asset management role at the asset.

The hotel and 100,000-square foot convention center will be managed on a day-to-day basis by Renaissance, which is an upper upscale brand of Marriott International. This is the first time Renaissance will manage both a hotel and convention center. The hotel has 48,000-square feet of additional meerting space, including a 28,000-square foot ballroom. Thomas Robertson, who had been GM of the Renaissance Dallas, has been named to the same position in Schaumburg, while Randy Griffin, who had been Area DSM for Renaissance in Miami, has assumed similar responsibilities for the brand in the Midwest.

The complex has been designed by John Portman & Associates, based in Atlanta. Schaumburg's master plan for the 45-acre site calls for the construction of a performing arts center after the hotel/conference center facility is completed.
