The Americas Lodging Investment Summit

Debuts New Negotiating Seminar

. October 14, 2008

WASHINGTON, DC, November 28, 2005. In an effort to bring innovative and stimulating seminars to attendees, "Effective Negotiating," will debut at the Americas Lodging Investment Summit (ALIS), co-hosted by the American Hotel and Lodging Association (AH&LA) and Burba Hotel Network (BHN), Jan. 24, 2006, at the Hyatt Regency Century Plaza in Los Angeles, Calif. The seminar, presented by KARRASS, is packed with negotiation strategies, techniques, tactics, tips, and skills practiced and tested over the past three decades.

The seminar will be presented by William Tucker, a seminar leader at KARRASS. The powerful session is designed to help business people master the method and psychological insights of negotiating.

"We're delighted to bring this special session on effective negotiating to ALIS in January," said Jim Burba, ALIS Conference Chair. "While our delegates are the cream of the crop in the hotel investment community, a session like this will help veterans polish their skills and also be very helpful to those who have less deal-making experience. A hallmark of ALIS has been to bring fresh new programming and speaker ideas to the hotel investment community each year, and this year's KARRASS seminar is a great addition to what promises to be the best investment conference yet."

KARRASS seminars are presented regularly in over 65 North American cities, including Canada and Mexico, and 17 cities worldwide. "Effective Negotiating," deemed the most successful negotiation seminar in the United States, was created and designed by Dr. Chester L. Karrass. Today, more than 800,000 professionals, including salespeople, buyers, corporate leaders, managers, financial officers, and CEOs have attended Karrass's various seminars.

In addition, ALIS features an extensive array of seminars hosted by leading experts and investors discussing important trends and identifying new opportunities. Other sessions include: "The Performance and Economic Outlook," "How to Improve the Odds for a Successful Transaction in a Very Competitive Market," and "The Hotel Leaders Outlook - The Owner's Perspective."
