. October 14, 2008

CINCINNATI, OH, December 5, 2005. The Greater Cincinnati Convention and Visitors Bureau has launched a nationwide search for a new president and chief executive officer, and has engaged the executive search firm Performance Management, Inc. of Stanford, Ct. to lead the process. Performance Management specializes in serving the national hospitality and tourism industry and has worked with the Greater Cincinnati CVB on previous projects.

The Greater Cincinnati CVB Executive Committee developed an updated job description for the position that places increased emphasis on generating business to fill the newly expanded convention center and hotels in Hamilton County and increasing economic impact for the region.

"It is our intention to have a new CEO in place this spring, well in advance of the completion of the convention center build-out in July 2006," said John T. Taylor, Chairman of the CVB. "We want a strong, talented leader who will enable us to make the most of the investment Cincinnati has made in its downtown and convention center."

The search committee is comprised of the GCCVB Executive Committee and representatives from the City of Cincinnati and Hamilton County.
