Construction Begins on InterContinental San Francisco

SAN FRANCISCO, CA, December 28, 2005. Executives from InterContinental Hotels Group, Continental Development Corporation and Hampshire Properties marked the groundbreaking for the new InterContinental San Francisco on December 5, 2005. The hotel, which is scheduled to open in late 2007, will be a 32-story high rise with 550 guest rooms and one of the largest meetings facilities in San Francisco. The new InterContinental San Francisco will join its sister hotel, the InterContinental Mark Hopkins San Francisco, in the City by the Bay.
