Mumford Has New Chicago Location and Larger Sales Team
NEWPORT NEWS, VA, January 9, 2006. The Mumford Company, the nation's leading broker of mid-market and economy hotels, is pleased to announce the addition of Tom Sommer to its Chicago sales team and the relocation the Chicago office. These additions will enable the company to improve upon its ability to provide results-oriented service to its many clients and customers across the country.
Tom Sommer has joined The Mumford Company in its Chicago office as a Vice President. Tom's extensive career in the hotel industry has included a wide range of experience in various facets of the business. His background extends from hotel franchise sales including market and site selection; hotel acquisition and ownership; to asset and property management.
Prior to joining The Mumford Company, Tom was Choice Hotel's Director of Franchise Sales for Sleep Inn & Suites in Michigan, Ohio, Indiana and Kentucky. Tom's prior experience includes such companies as US Franchise Systems and Days Inns of America. Tom is a graduate of the University of Missouri with a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration. Tom will join Lance Potter, Vice President, who opened the Chicago office January 1, 2005.
