Scott Shontz Named ARAMARK Harrison VP Development
PHILADELPHIA, PA, January 23, 2006. ARAMARK Harrison Lodging has promoted Scott Shontz to the position of vice president of development. In his new role, Shontz will be responsible for designing a cohesive strategy to attract new business and maintain existing business for the newly combined parks and resorts and conference center portfolio of ARAMARK Harrison Lodging.
"Scott is uniquely positioned for his new role based on his extensive financial and operational experience," said Bruce Fears, president, ARAMARK Harrison Lodging. "I am confident he will help further define our development strategy and approach to ensure we continue to grow the business and to deliver a unique learning environment for our partners."
Shontz has more than 16 years of tenure with ARAMARK Corporation, during which he has held a variety of leadership roles in both finance and operations. Prior to serving in the CFO capacity, Shontz was a regional vice president with ARAMARK Harrison Lodging.
"Through his years in corporate auditing and most recently, his service as CFO of ARAMARK Harrison Lodging, Shontz has consistently demonstrated the financial acumen and strategic vision that is pivotal to evaluating new business opportunities in our current environment," said Fears.
Shontz earned his Bachelor of Science degree in accounting from the University of Scranton in Scranton, Pa. Presently, he resides in New Jersey with his family.
