TelMe Targets Business Travelers

. October 14, 2008

TelMe Farebase is signing a deal to provide its Ticket Window fares technology to SAT Business Travel Management.

The Ticket Window system enables business travel consultants to search for fares and availability across 650 airlines. The modular technology, which is Internet based, allows the customer to select the products and functionality to suit their business requirements and budget.

The deal with Bolton-based SAT (formerly St. Andrews Travel) comes on top of a similar deal with Manchester-based Delta Travel - a member of the Guild of Travel Management Companies.

Both deals further cement TelMe Farebase's presence within the business travel arena as well as among GTMC members. TelMe Farebase secured high profile contracts with GTMC members P&O Business Travel and Munro's Travel Group late last year.

SAT Business Travel Management sales director Paul Sutton said: "For some time now we have been looking for a partner to provide fare loading assistance and to move forward our plans for an Internet Booking Engine. After careful deliberation we found that TelMe offered us flexibility and professionalism at an affordable price."

TelMe Farebase managing director Peter Muller said: "We attended a technology showcase with Guild members and we're now reaping the rewards of that. We're also in discussion with several other travel management companies to use the Ticket Window technology."
