JOPLIN, MO, February 06, 2006. An 83-room Candlewood Suites, the first for this city, has opened here just off I-44 and Business 71. The property is owned by Extended Stay of Joplin, and managed by Elliot Lodging.

The hotel features high-speed Internet access, free local phone calls, free onsite guest laundry and a 24-hour fitness center. Guests may also enjoy the Candlewood Cupboard, where a variety of beverages, breakfast items, snacks, frozen entrees and sundries may be purchased. Additionally, guests may visit a free lending Library, where movies and music are available for use in guestrooms, which all feature a VCR/DVD and CD player.
