BayStar Buys Holiday Inn in Tallahassee
TALLAHASSEE, FL, February 20, 2006. BayStar Hotel Group, LLC has acquired the 150-room Holiday Inn - State Capitol East here. The Tampa, FL-based hotel company took over the Holiday Inn's management on Feb. 2 and is investing $750,000 to refurbish the property.
Located across the street from the Governor's Square shopping mall, the four-story hotel is home to the Tallahassee Ale House sports bar and features 2,400 square feet of meeting space.
During the renovation, the hotel's fourth floor will be converted into an executive/club floor with microwaves and refrigerators in each room.
The hotel provides free high-speed wireless Internet access along with a business center. It also has a guest laundry room, swimming pool and fitness center. Like all BayStar Hotels, this Holiday Inn welcomes pets.
