Stelios Brings Easy to the Caribbean
BERMUDA, February 21, 2006. Stelios Haji-Ioannou, the man often credited as the pioneer who changed the European aviation scene, will deliver the keynote address to mark the tenth anniversary of the Caribbean Hotel & Tourism Investment Conference (CHTIC) 2006.
The two-day confab will be held April 4-6, 2006, at the Fairmont Southampton Hotel, in Bermuda, presented by the Caribbean Hotel Association (CHA), in conjunction with the Caribbean Tourism Organization (CTO), and Burba Hotel Network (BHN). At 38 years of age Stelios, who prefers to be called by his first name, is best known for creating easyJet PLC when he was 28. easyJet PLC, Europe's largest low cost airline by revenues with a fleet of 100 jets and growing, carried 30 million passengers in 2005.
In its decade-long tradition, CHTIC 2006 will bring together specialists from the international finance, development, and tourism fields. Professional sessions will address hot topics such as timeshare and fractional deals; win-win development projects; private label resorts; condo hotels; the acquisitions marketplace; private residence clubs and destination clubs; the debt capital markets; the mixed-use project; and the Caribbean resort of the future.
Meanwhile, marketing and promotion issues will find a forum in sessions entitled Destination Marketing Successes and the age-old question - To Brand or not to Brand?
