Managing Director Appointed at Renamed Kahala Hotel

HONOLULU, HI, March 1, 2006. - John Blanco has been named managing director for the Kahala Hotel Resort here. Prior to his appointment, Blanco was general manager of The Ritz-Carlton Penha Longa in Sintra, Portugal. His lodging career spans 20 years, much of it with The Ritz-Carlton Co. His tenure in Hawaii includes stints at The Ritz-Carlton Mauna Lani (currently The Fairmont Orchid) and the Four Seasons Resort Wailea.

Kahala Hotel Investors, LLC, an affiliate of Honolulu-based Trinity Investments, LLC, renamed the 364-room Kahala Mandarin Oriental Hawaii the Kahala Hotel Resort. Landmark Hotels, Inc., has been named the new manager.

The Kahala opened as the Kahala Hilton Hotel and became part of the Mandarin Oriental Group in 1994. Kahala Hotel Investors, LLC completed its acquisition of the hotel from Kahala Hotels Associates Limited Partnership last November
